Patience With The Process

I have been incredibly fortunate to have had some clients over the last few months who have completely bought into the MAT™ process.  They didn't come in looking for quick relief from their symptoms or for things to be "fixed".  They took MAT™ for what it was and didn't expect it to do more than what I was telling them it was designed to do--make muscles contract more efficiently.  Their mindset has been superb throughout and the way in which their body has responded has been really cool to see.

While it took some time, as their practitioner this has afforded me the opportunity to address one area of their body multiple times before moving on to another mechanically related area and motion.  While there are still asymmetries in some of the motions, the related positions are holding stable.  I am now able to challenge these motions and positions to a greater and greater degree both on and off the table and their bodies have handled the increased challenges very well.

Seeing this process unveil itself in these clients has been really fun.  Being able to systematically and logically progress from one area and motion to the next while still going back and checking the integrity of previous areas has not only been a very rewarding experience for myself, but it also has reinforced the idea that MAT™ is a process.  And to have clients who have bought in and are patient with this process has been nothing short of outstanding.
